The movements of the eye can help you elicit how a person is retrieving information through his senses.

When the eyes go upward (left or right) it is visual access. When they go sideways (left or right) it is auditory access. When they go down, depending on whether it is left or right, it could be inner dialogue or emotional access.

Eye accessing cues are many a times a helpful lie detector. When a person tells the truth, he is supposed to access the remembering cues, but instead if he accesses the construction cues he is possibly telling a lie.
